Do you have pesky areas on your body that just aren’t as tight and toned as you’d like? If so, you’ve probably spent hours working out, targeting these areas, only to be disappointed to discover you couldn’t actually target specific areas to burn fat, nor could you starve them away with a fad diet.
Sadly, thousands of crunches a day won’t shed the top layer of fat on your stomach, nor will hours of sit-ups in the gym. You may not be able to crunch, curl and burn the fat away, however you can freeze it! One of the most powerful methods to consider in fat reduction is CoolSculpting. By directly targeting fat cells in those stubborn areas, CoolSculpting freezes the cells, destroying them, then naturally eliminating them. You will see results that diet and exercise have not been able to deliver.
How Many CoolSculpting Treatments Will You Need?
Some of the most frequently asked questions are: How many CoolSculpting treatments will I need? Is it one and done? Or do I need several sessions to achieve my desired goals? Each person is unique, from their body type to the area they want treatment to their specific goals. Here is what you need to know about CoolSculpting and how many treatments on average are needed.
Factors For CoolSculpting Treatments?
There are a handful of factors to consider when trying to determine the number of CoolSculpting treatments required. For starters, there are your desired goals, the area being treated, the number of fat cells in a given area. Consider the waddle under the chin versus love handles or belly fat. If there is a thicker layer of fat cells, alternative forms of treatments may work better. So keep in mind that thicker areas may require more treatments.
Another factor is simply how your body responds to the treatment. Everyone’s body is different. While we can offer a general idea as to what results you can expect, it is impossible to know for sure until after the initial treatment. It often takes a few months to realize the full results of the first treatment. The fat cells will be frozen and without the influx of nutrients and blood, the cells will die. Unfortunately, dead cells don’t immediately disappear. The body will need time to process the dead tissue. This usually takes several months before you see the final results of the CoolSculpting treatment.
Something else to consider is, different target areas respond differently to the CoolSculpting treatment. Your neck will react differently than your thighs or arms, and your stomach might react differently from your glutes. The layers of fat cells, the thickness of the surrounding tissue and the amount of blood flow in these areas all produce different responses and need to be taken into consideration when determining the number of treatments you’ll need. But don’t worry. Our expert CoolSculpting Technicians have years of experience and have provided thousands of treatments. During your complimentary consultation they will be able to assess your specific needs, offer a realistic idea of what results you may expect and how many treatments are necessary to achieve your desired goal.
How Many CoolSculpting Treatments Are Needed?
One of the most common questions asked regarding CoolSculpting is the one that’s nearly impossible to answer prior to your initial treatment. How many CoolSculpting treatments will I need? We can provide you with clinical information on what to expect and typical results, ultimately, it comes down to the factors listed above and, most specifically, how your own body reacts.
It may be possible for you to achieve positive results after a single treatment, however, it is more common to require 2 and sometimes 3 sessions. Beware of any service provider who guarantees extreme results in a single session. We recommend assessing after the completion of the first treatment. Then, schedule a follow-up visit to review your progress and discuss if subsequent treatments will be required to reach your ultimate goal. We will also take before and after photos to help see your results.
It has been our experience that most patients are able to achieve their desired goals following a second treatment. For more advanced cases, additional treatments might be necessary.
How To Measure Results?
You will start to see results within a few months. Because it does take time for your body to process and absorb the tissue, the transformation is gradual. After a few months, you might weigh yourself and find you’re not losing weight. This is completely natural, in fact, using a scale is not a recommended way to measure your results.
Yes, CoolSculpting will rid your body of targeted fat cells, but unless you also reduce calorie consumption (or burn more calories), the excess calories will be redirected to another area of the body. So, while there are fewer fat cells in the targeted region, fat cells in another area of the body will begin holding onto the excess calories. This is why looking at a scale is not the best way to determine whether or not the procedure was successful.
We will help you by providing before and after photographs. You can also take photos at home to measure and celebrate your continued progress. Snap a photo once a week, you will notice the difference in the targeted areas.
