What Is a Breast Implant Exchange?
A breast implant exchange is a surgical procedure designed to replace existing breast implants with new ones. It allows you to make alterations, such as changing the size of your implants, addressing any concerns, or opting for a different type of breast implants. It’s a pivotal step in your aesthetic journey.

Considering Breast Enlargement, Reduction, or Lift
During your consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different options. You can consider breast enlargement to achieve a fuller bust, breast reduction to address any discomfort or inconveniences, or a breast lift (mastopexy) to rejuvenate and elevate the position of your breasts, all of which can be completed in conjunction with an implant exchange if desired.
Timing and Ease of Exchange:
When Can You Consider an Implant Exchange?
The timing of a breast implant exchange largely depends on your individual circumstances and goals. It can be done at various points following your initial surgery, but it’s essential to consult with your surgeon to determine the ideal time for you.
A Streamlined Path to Radiance: The Ease of Exchange
Under the expert care of our surgical team, the breast implant exchange process is designed to be streamlined, efficient, and safe. Our aim is to make your experience as comfortable as possible while delivering the results you desire.
Understanding the Cost
The cost of a breast implant exchange can vary based on factors such as the type of implant, the complexity of the procedure, and the surgeon’s fees. Our team will provide you with a comprehensive estimate during your consultation, allowing you to plan accordingly. We offer a wide range of payment options, including low to no interest finance options you can take advantage of.
Maintenance and Safety:
How Often Should You Consider An Exchange?
Breast implant exchanges are typically recommended when there are issues with the current implants, or if you wish to make a change for aesthetic reasons. The need for an exchange can vary from person to person and is often determined by the condition of the implants and your individual preferences.
Your Peace of Mind: Safety and Assurance
Your safety and well-being are paramount to us. Our surgeons follow stringent safety guidelines, ensuring that the breast implant exchange procedure is performed with the utmost care and precision.
It’s important to note that breast implant exchange for cosmetic reasons is usually not covered by insurance. However, in rare cases, if there are medical reasons for the exchange, insurance may offer coverage. We can help guide you through this process with our in-house insurance specialist.
The Exchange Procedure and Recovery:
The Exchange Procedure Unveiled
During the exchange procedure, your surgeon will carefully remove your existing implants, address any concerns, and replace them with your new implants. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia, ensuring your comfort throughout the procedure.
Your Road to Recovery
After the surgery, you’ll be provided with post-operative guidelines to follow, including details on caring for your incisions and managing any discomfort. The breast implant exchange recovery time is designed to be as smooth as possible, allowing you to return to your daily routine gradually. Typically, in an implant exchange procedure, the patient can expect to resume regular activity within 2-4 weeks.
Following your breast augmentation revision, you’ll be advised to take it easy for a specified period, avoiding strenuous activities. You’ll also have post-operative follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and ensure your healing correctly. These post-operative appointments usually fall on the day after surgery, at 1 week, sometimes 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.

Your Journey to Self-Confidence
A breast implant exchange is not just about changing your physical appearance; it’s about boosting your self-esteem and self-assurance. Many of our patients report increased confidence and happiness after the procedure.
Explore the Possibilities: Breast Lift and Mastopexy
