Dr. Watterson honored by Charlotte Magazine
Charlotte Plastic Surgery doctor named one of Charlotte Magazine’s 2011 “Top Doctors”
Paul A. Watterson, M.D. of Charlotte Plastic Surgery has been honored as one of Charlotte Magazine’s 2011 “Top Doctors.”
Dr. Watterson is a graduate of Utah State University and George Washington University Medical School, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was awarded the Benjamin Manchester Humanitarian Award. Dr. Watterson completed his general surgery training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his plastic surgery residency at Emory University, where he was awarded the Glancy Outstanding Resident Award by the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Watterson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Charlotte Magazine compiled its list of 2011 “Top Doctors” by conducting an online survey among all physicians with active medical licenses in Cabarrus, Gaston, Mecklenburg and Union counties according to a list from the North Carolina Medical Board. The survey asked: what doctor would you call if you or a loved one needed medical care? Physician participants were asked to make their selections without regard to hospital, clinic or health plan affiliations. Based on survey results, the Charlotte Magazine’s 2011 “Top Doctors” list was compiled, which consists of only the top seven percent of area doctors.
