Chemical Peels
Smooth skin by removing damaged outer layers.
Treat facial blemishes, fine wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne and uneven skin pigmentation with a variety of chemical peels that incorporate beta hydroxy acid, such as salicylic acid or alpha hydroxy acids – including glycolic, lactic or fruit acids.
The precise formula or concentration used is adjusted to meet each patient’s needs. Your aesthetician will make these decisions during your consultation. We offer the following types of chemical peels to produce smoother, brighter-looking skin. And as always, your first and every sixth peel are complimentary.
Lactic Acid Peel
30 – 60 minutes
Lactic acid, a superior exfoliant, occurs naturally in the skin. This peel’s 70 percent strength exfoliates the skin and stimulates new collagen and elastin in the skin’s deeper layers. Ideal for all skin types, this hydrating exfoliant is especially good for drier skin. Expect some irritation for three to five days.
Sensitive Lactic Peel
30 – 60 minutes
This peel is ideal for the most sensitive skin types. It very mildly exfoliates while conditioning to help with dry, irritated skin. Ideal to use with dermaplaning.
Glycolic Acid Peel
30-60 minutes
This contains 70 percent glycolic compound in an advanced formulation that helps to improve overall skin clarity and smoothness. This procedure can be combined with dermaplaning in some cases. Expect minimal skin irritation for three to five days.
Jessner Peel
30 – 60 minutes
A medium-depth peel designed for more extensive skin damage. This treatment contains salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol. Ideal for oily or acne-prone skin types. Expect three to seven days of physical flaking and peeling.
Vitalize Peel
30 – 60 minutes
Ideal for clients who have started and maintained a consistent skin rejuvenation program involving home products and exfoliating treatments. Ideal for sun-damaged and acne-prone skin types. Expect to have physical “peeling” approximately 48 hours following treatment and lasting three to five days.
Illuminize Peel
30 – 60 minutes
This gentle chemical peel is recommended for mild skin conditions such as sun damage, fine lines and pigmentary irregularities. Typically, patients experience minimal visible peeling. This peel is ideal before a special event and can be combined with dermaplaning.
Rejuvenize Peel
30 – 60 minutes
This peel is one of our deepest superficial chemical peels. Ideal for clients who have started and maintained a consistent skin rejuvenation program. Indicated for moderate to severe skin conditions, including sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring and melasma. Typically, patients experience moderate peeling that starts approximately two days after the procedure and can last up to five days.
Sensi Peel
30 – 60 minutes
This gentle solution is primarily for ethnic skin as well as all other sensitive skin types and conditions. Sensi Peel contains a blend of 12 percent lactic acid and six percent trichloroacetic acid (TCA). It is especially effective for dry, sensitive acne skin with excessive inflammation and rosacea, causing redness and inflammation to subside substantially after treatment. Expect minimal flaking for three to seven days, starting approximately 48 hours after treatment.
Obagi Blue Radiance Peel
30 – 60 minutes
With a unique blend of acids, this peel provides superficial exfoliation with little or no downtime. Gives skin a look of instant radiance including tighter, smoother, brighter looking skin. Ideal for most skin types. Can be combined with dermaplaning for a deeper exfoliation. Patients may experience very mild flaking for several days.
