Men’s Breast Reduction

Take some weight off your chest.

Many men who have enlarged breasts have a condition known as gynecomastia. And in this case, it’s not fat tissue in the breasts, it’s breast tissue, which can’t be reduced with diet or exercise; it must be surgically removed.

Gynecomastia can start in adolescence and may persist throughout adulthood, or can develop in an older man due to steroid abuse, weight gain, hormonal imbalance or as a side effect of certain medications.

It’s an embarrassing problem that can affect self-esteem. But male breast reduction is also a very common procedure that uses liposuction and limited incisions for minimal scarring when removing the breast tissue. So most activities can be resumed within two weeks, and men should be able to perform chest exercises and heavy lifting by eight weeks.

Every procedure we perform is specific to that person’s needs, which is why our surgeons meet with each and every patient to talk through the options, potential risks, ultimate results and recovery time.
