Michael E. Beasley, M.D.
It’s been said that Dr. Beasley’s blood runs Carolina Blue. After all, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed his medical studies there, and completed his general surgery residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Yet when the opportunity arose to pursue his training in plastic surgery at Emory University, he couldn’t pass it up. Dr. Beasley would eventually return to the Carolinas, but not before completing a postgraduate fellowship in Atlanta with Dr. Carl Hartrampf, Jr., an important person in his life. However, Dr. Beasley’s greatest mentors were with him since his birth.
Growing up, he was influenced by his grandfather and father, both of whom were physicians. It was their selfless dedication to the service of others that inspired him to follow in their footsteps.
“One of the most important things I do is listen and advise. Patients each have their own desires and needs, and listening is the best way to determine how to best serve every individual. I then do my best to provide quality, compassionate care utilizing a well-designed, proven, personalized surgical approach. For me, one of the most rewarding aspects of plastic surgery is when I get to share in the joy of a positive experience with each patient. Few things in life match that feeling.”
A native North Carolinian, Dr. Beasley is an avid golfer and fly fisherman. He and his wife Denise have two children and participate in many Charlotte community organizations.
